Certificate in P-TECH

The Certificate in P-TECH is a new programme in the Irish education system which seeks to provide students with a range of skills and experiences that help their development, future learning and their future career.

Programme Delivery

The Certificate in P-TECH programme programme is delivered in senior cycle from transition year to 6th Year.  P-TECH provides students with foundational skills and a bridge to their future employability and learning by introducing students to digital skills, business knowledge, 21st Century transferable competencies and tools for personal development.

It consists of two modules:

Skills for Business & Career
Skills for a Digital World

The Student Handbook issued to P-TECH students and their parents/guardians offers a comprehensive overview.

QQI Validation of P-TECH on the National Framework of Qualifications

The Certificate in P-TECH is a QQI Level 6 Special Purpose Award (10 ECTs). The programme is delivered by P-TECH teachers and supported by industry mentors.
