Senior Coding Club (ages 13-16) - Summer Camps

Calling all secondary school students eager to explore the world of coding!

Delve into MakeCode and Python Programming for Micro:bit and Raspberry Pi devices while vying for exciting prizes. Our coding club spans five days over the summer, tailored for students aged 13 to 16.

Completely free of charge, the course will be held twice on-campus at NCI.

Whether you're curious about computing or keen on mastering cutting-edge technologies with college lecturers, secure your spot today by filling out the form below! No prior experience necessary.

Senior Coding Club - 2 Camps

When:

  • Camp 1, 1st - 5th July 2024 - Camp has reached full capacity.
  • Camp 2, 15th - 19th July 2024 - Camp has reached full capacity.

Schedule:

  • Monday: 10:15am - Introduction to Senior Coding Club
  • Monday – Thursday: 10.30 to 4.30 pm (1 hour project development for Hackathon)
  • Friday: 11.00 to 12.00 pm - Hackathon – presentation, prizes, and refreshments

Parents and Guardians of the students are invited to attend the Hackathon on the final day. 

Where: NCI Campus, Mayor Square, Dublin 1
Cost: Free (but places are limited)

Selected students will design programs that take advantage of real Internet of Things (IoT) hardware and their sensors. At the end of the week, students will also compete to create the best overall project, receiving prizes and a certificate for participation.
