At National College of Ireland, we are very proud and excited to officially announce that we are once again participating in Culture Night.
Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir is a national moment, one that celebrates the rich, diverse culture in Ireland today. It is a moment that connects people to cultural activities locally and nationally, aiming to open pathways to ongoing engagement.
Culture Night is an annual, all-island public event which takes place each year on the second last Friday of September. Culture Night celebrates culture, creativity, and the arts. Culture Night passionately supports and promotes the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured, and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.
In Dublin, Culture Night is an electrifying event that transforms the city into a living, breathing museum. This celebration brings museums, galleries, historic buildings, and hidden corners to life with an unparalleled celebration of Irish culture. The event came to life in 2006 through an initiative of Dublin City Council and Temple Bar Cultural Trust. A small, local event has blossomed into an international event. From 2012 onwards, it became an international event, and it is amazing to see Irish Culture Nights being held in other cities like London, Paris, and New York. Thanks to the continued support of the Arts Council and local authorities across the island of Ireland, all activities are available to the public Free of Charge. You are invited to start your Culture Night at National College of Ireland.
This incredibly special event is being held for the first time in our brand-new Spencer Dock building. It is an evening that you will not want to miss.
