About the MSc in Finance
The National College of Ireland MSc in Finance has been designed in consultation with industry to provide candidates with the advanced analytical, statistical and financial skills for decision making within the modern and dynamic financial services sector.
Graduates of the MSC in Finance programme will be accomplished in the application of advanced quantitative tools and financial models and techniques within a range of business and financial settings. In particular, the course will provide graduates with the techniques and applied knowledge necessary to select, analyse and utilise advanced financial concepts within the setting of investment management and capital markets.
Who is the course for?
The MSc in Finance programme is aimed at those wishing to embark on a career in financial management or individuals in all areas of financial management who wish to progress their career.
The learning environment for the course is practical and applied in nature and on completion graduates will be able to think independently, make informed and effective decisions and proactively troubleshoot financial and technical business problems.

About the presenter
Dr Corina Sheerin the programme director, has worked in Academia for over ten years and has taught extensively at postgraduate level. She holds a PhD in Statistics from Trinity College Dublin as well as being a charterholder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Corina, prior to academia, worked as an assistant fund manager at Pioneer Investment Management for almost three years, mainly working within the global fixed income division of the company.
