InventaTHON 2017 is an opportunity for NCI students to pitch an idea to industry experts for the chance to:

• Win a cash prize
• Receive business and technology support to further develop your idea
• Fast track your entry to the Student Entrepreneur Awards

Enter your idea online and the Top Ten submissions go on to take part in InventaTHON 2017.

National College of Ireland is committed to developing an active research and enterprise culture.
The InventaTHON gives you the chance to take your idea and test it out in a constructively-critical and collaborative environment. The input and support you receive from industry experts and your fellow students could prove your idea worthy of the next step: entry into the Student Entrepreneur Awards and the chance to win €10k! At the end of this competition, IP rights remain with the idea originator.

If you don’t have an idea, you can still take part

You can be part of a winning team, even if it’s not your idea. Submit your details in the entry form, completing mandatory fields only. This will secure you a place in the audience. You will receive the Top Ten pitches as soon as they are available. Study them, and pick your preferred pitch. On the day, you can join a team - if you demonstrate the expertise that team requires. But listen to all the pitches, as you may change your mind. As an audience member, you also get to vote for the best 1-minute pitch of the day.

Audience numbers are strictly limited to 50 places, so don’t miss out on your chance to participate, submit your entry form now!

Prizes:

• €200 for the individual 1-minute pitch that gets the largest audience vote
• €300 for the most innovative individual idea, as judged by the industry panel
• €500 for the team that develops a strategy with the most commercial potential, as judged by the industry panel
