On Friday last, President of NCI, Gina Quin, was delighted to attend the annual IFAA Fulbright Scholars' Dinner, hosted by the Law Society in Blackhall Place, allowing her an opportunity to catch up with her peers in Higher Education in Ireland.

The most recent Fulbright Scholar to receive a welcome at National College of Ireland was Dr Meghan Marrero in 2018. Her time at NCI achieved the aims of a Fulbright Scholarship in providing her with new insights into her work and a chance to collaborate with colleagues outside of the USA, and enriching the academic life of the College through her sharing of her expertise - children from the North East Inner City (NEIC) also benefited directly from her time in Dublin. You can read more about her Fulbright journey in some blog posts she shared on the NCI website.

National College of Ireland appreciates the Fulbright Scholarship Committee’s vision 'to inspire minds to create a global culture of understanding and solidarity by nurturing academic and professional excellence, expertise and leadership', which aligns with the College's social justice ethos and our own mission 'to change lives through education'.

Those finding themselves curious about travelling to the US on a Fulbright Scholarship, or indeed any US students or academics reading this who might wish to come to Ireland, can learn more via the Fulbright Ireland office.
