National College of Ireland (NCI) welcomes Brendan McGinty as Chairperson of its Governing Body. Mr McGinty has previously served as a member of NCI’s Governing Body.
Mr McGinty is a leading expert in people strategy, employment relations, employment policy, change management, dispute resolution and public affairs. He is Managing Partner of Stratis Consulting, a specialist consultancy supporting organisations on strategic employment relations. He is passionate about skills and people development in a modern economy as well as workplace relations issues having been involved in most national reform initiatives.
He is Chairperson of the Board of Skillnet Ireland, a serving member of the Board of the Workplace Relations Commission and a Director of Resolve Ireland. He was previously a member of the Ibec leadership team as Director of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Services.
Mr McGinty said: “I’m delighted to take up this position. I have a particular interest in workforce and skills development in preparing people for the ‘future of work’, which very much aligns with NCI’s values. NCI strives to equip students with the resilience and critical thinking necessary for a long and rewarding engagement with the world of work and promotes lifelong learning.
