The Student Ambassador programme provides an opportunity for current students to represent National College of Ireland and gain valuable work experience.

We are excited to announce the launch of the Student Ambassador Programme at National College of Ireland (NCI). 

This paid initiative offers current undergraduate students the chance to build leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while supporting NCI’s marketing and student recruitment efforts. Ambassadors will engage with prospective students through a variety of activities throughout the year. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Recruitment Events: Represent NCI at recruitment events, such as Open Days and college fairs, providing information and sharing experiences with potential students. 
  • Guided Campus Tours: Lead tours around the NCI campus, highlighting key facilities and aspects of student life to visitors. 
  • Outreach Visits: Join the School Liaison Service in visiting your secondary school and/or FETAC college to promote NCI, sharing personal experience and insights. 
  • Content Creation: Work with the Marketing Team to develop engaging social media content and other promotional materials that showcase life at NCI. 
  • Digital Ambassadorship: Engage with prospective students online via platforms like Unibuddy, answering questions and offering guidance. 

Ideal Candidates: 

We are looking for enthusiastic undergraduate NCI students who exhibit the following traits: 

  • Excellent communication skills 
  • In-depth knowledge of their course and the NCI campus 
  • Team-oriented mindset 
  • Friendly and approachable nature 
  • Professionalism and respectfulness 
  • Flexibility and adaptability 
  • Initiative and reliability 
  • Punctuality 
  • Active participation in student activities, such as clubs, societies, student unions, or volunteering, is a plus.

This role offers flexible hours, allowing students to balance their ambassador duties with academic responsibilities. A training session will be held on-campus which Student Ambassadors are expected to attend, date to be confirmed. 

Note, this role is separate to the Student Leaders and the International Peer Mentors programmes.
