The Centre for Education and Lifelong Learning (CELL) at NCI is at the forefront of education and learning innovation, with research and practitioner expertise in Early Childhood Education, Further Education, Technology Enhanced Learning, P-TECH, Lifelong Learning, Universal Design for Learning and design for 21st Century skills.

As well as offering a range of programmes for education and learning professionals, CELL also provides professional support for Teaching Enhancement and Digital Learning Design throughout NCI.

CELL runs an annual Festival of Education and Lifelong Learning, allowing the sharing of best practice within the sector.

Postgraduate Programmes in Learning and Teaching We offer postgraduate courses to meet the needs of teachers and learning professionals working in Further Education and Higher Education contexts.

Early Childhood Education and Care Programme Kick start your career as an early childhood education and care professional with our degree programmes which give you the option of choosing to study in the daytime or the evening.

Initial Teacher Education for Further Education Teaching The Postgraduate Diploma in Arts in Educational Practice in Teaching for Further Education is recognised by the Teaching Council for initial teacher education in the Further Education sector.

Courses for Learning Professionals We offer a range of short and full award programmes for learning professionals at all levels.

Teaching Enhancement at NCI The Teaching Enhancement function at NCI is dedicated to developing the college’s teaching and assessment practices through the professional development of our faculty.

Learning Support at NCI NCI offers a number of learning support services to ensure students get the help they need with their coursework.
