To make the most of this advertising opportunity we recommend that you include: job title, targeted degree you are aiming for, detailed job spec, application and recruitment procedure, closing date and where possible salary guidelines. We will then promote your vacancies on our online jobs board, via our weekly newsletter and on campus.

Sending a targeted email straight to a student’s college account is an effective and personal way of maximising your exposure and promoting opportunities or events to a specific group of students. We can target students and recent alumni according to their programme and year of study. We only send a limited number of these mails every semester so do let us know re your requirements as soon as you have them.

Hosting an on-campus employer information session is a positive way to increase your brand awareness at NCI. To maximise attendance we have in the last number of years invited groups of employers recruiting from the same sector to come on campus for “Spotlight on…” events for computing students and “Beyond the Job Spec…” for business students. Each employer is given an opportunity to make a short presentation to a group of students following a Q&A session. Employers are still welcome to come and present individually throughout the year however we encourage employers to think more broadly than a traditional presentation. 

If you are keen to meet large numbers of students a meet and greet session is a popular choice. Located in the atrium, this large promotional area adjacent to the main catering facility has high footfall where you can set up a promotional stand.

Many employers hold events off-campus and we are happy to advertise these events to our students and alumni on our social media pages and via our weekly newsletter.

A great way to connect with NCI students is to take advantage of our on-campus interviewing facilities. This allows employers to maximise their recruiting efforts by accommodating students’ busy academic schedules by meeting them on campus.

In autumn and summer each year we join with our colleagues in 10 other third-level institutions to bring you Ireland's largest graduate recruitment event the gradireland Graduate Careers Fair in the RDS. We also host a Just in Time Careers Fair on campus in NCI in April . Whether you use career fairs as a preliminary pre-recruitment activity or as your primary sourcing tool this is a great way to gain visibility, enhance your brand and get to know NCI students. This fair is deliberately held following the end of Semester 2 to connect NCI students with immediate opportunities.

Individual and tailored employability support is at a heart of NCI Careers Service therefore we connect employers and students for a short CV review or Mock Interview either online (MS Teams) or on campus. The Careers Team takes the lead on organising the schedule where employers allocate 1-2 hours to meet a number of students for 10 minutes to receive feedback on their CV/Interview skills.

Attending the 4th year Computing Project Showcase in May is a great opportunity to meet the graduating cohort of Computing and Technology Management students and see their technical expertise and abilities first hand as you view and discuss their projects. Interview facilities are available on the day.

Promoting employer brand on social media is becoming more and more popular amongst student population. In the past, we have worked with a number of employers on Instagram to promote their opportunities using Live Q&A session with our students.
